I would like to have a straight slab to footing edge without the raised "curb" that we discussed. There are construction headhaches such as the furring, base, and new door threshold area that would add cost and seem unnecessary. The building dept referred me to the IRC, chapter 4, section R403, 404.1.6, and R317.1. We will have 10+ inches from the new ff slab to outside grade at the existing wall, and roughly 16 inches+ and the low point of the grade. Grace ice and water adhesive would work great between bottom plate and top of footing/slab.
